Perfect for use on the whiteboard. I use these every day. No more unrecognizable icons from this teacher!

I use these magnetic icons on a daily basis in my classroom. They are perfect for students to manipulate. I often will begin class with a review of reading done the day or night before. Students lead the discussion by coming to the board one at a time to move an icon and share a connection – “I noticed the difference between the dad’s and the grandpa’s perspectives on magic.” or “Milada is changing over time. She is forgetting some of her old ways from her native land and is even struggling to remember the language.” My challenge is always to see how many of the elements we can address. At the close of class, I often use these magnetic icons for closure in a similar method. Another way I use them is to put two or more in the center of the board and ask students to make connections by pairing them — i.e. “What different perspectives on this ethical issue arose in this chapter?” These, along with the large icon cards, are my two must haves for a community of learners who seek to take their thinking to the next level!

Excellent for quick referencing and visual reminders. Helps my students with their vocab and also is a good clear constant reminder to me to keep some rigor in my program.

I use them daily with my GT students with a frame on the interactive white board while students draw the frame in their journals. I use the stamp set for the students. We decide which 4 icons we will apply toward a class discussion about unit of study they are working on. Conversations usually spark missing pieces of research students hadn’t thought of based upon everyone’s perspective of the info with the teacher. I take a picture of the board and students working and load to Seesaw for parents to view the connection.

I use the magnets on a daily basis with a frame on the Interactive Whiteboard while students draw the frame in their journals and use the rubber stamp set to place the icons where I have placed the magnets on the board. We complete the frame together choosing 4 icons to apply to their research. The discussion brings insight as to info. students working on that topic of study hadn’t thought of before, which helps them to know what else to search for their topic to make it in depth.
